Aimee was a Co-Founder and National Co-Chair of Cleantech & Green Business for Obama (CT4-O), a self-organized constituency group that was formed to support the Obama campaign. CT4-O brought together cleantech and green business professionals from around the country who raised funds for the Obama campaign and organized events, messaging and media programs, and get-out- the-vote efforts nationwide. CT4-O marks the first time that this emerging constituency has been organized in support of a national political campaign. Aimee spoke at the Democratic National Convention Energy Town Hall, moderated by Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm.
CGS helped Global Green USA with the development of its “Carbon Solutions for Communities” program to establish the policy frameworks and financial models to mobilize resources for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in low income communities who endure the greatest pollution and face the greatest risk from climate change impacts, and who can benefit most from the new clean energy economy.
The Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Simon Roosevelt, and the Sea Change Foundation joined forces to bring together top financial leaders to consider their personal and professional role in addressing global climate change. CGS worked with them to conceptualize and implement The Catalyst Dinner – a one evening event that provided an intimate setting for leading financiers to discuss climate change and its potential solutions. CGS helped to identify and involve key leaders, to develop the substantive agenda and briefing materials, and to support future efforts to carry learning to action.
CGS developed an organizational structure and substantive parameters for a partnership between Swiss Re and the United Nations Development Program to build demand and supply for high quality carbon "offset" projects with co-benefits for development and broader environmental restoration. With the support of the United Nations Foundation, this “Footprint Neutral” standard aimed to raise the quality of carbon offsets and to ensure broader benefits for poverty alleviation, biodiversity protection, and water and other environmental services.
CGS advised Wolfensohn & Company on its sustainability services development for top financial and corporate clients.
